Sign up to the Tourism Sustainability Commitment and join New Zealand tourism’s leading sustainability programme
Since 2017, the Tourism Sustainability Commitment (TSC) has helped New Zealand tourism businesses take practical action on sustainability. At the heart of He Pae Tukutuku | Tourism 2050, it provides a practical framework to work towards the 12 TSC Commitments, track progress and contribute to a more sustainable tourism industry.
Signatories take part in an annual commitment process to keep their participation current. TIA members contribute through their membership, while non-member signatories pay an annual TSC contribution of $100 + GST to support the programme’s administration, declaration reporting, website, resources and development.
The annual TSC Declaration helps TIA measure progress across the 12 TSC Commitments within the tourism industry. Signatories share information about the actions they are taking, the progress they have made and the challenges they are facing. Once completed, signatories receive a dated TSC logo showing their commitment is current. The logo recognises participation and progress; it is not certification, accreditation or verification of sustainability performance.
For more information about becoming a TSC signatory, see the TSC Terms and Conditions and TSC Frequently Asked Questions.
