Funding

The hospitality industry and venues are significant consumers of beverages in glass bottles, generally with low recovery rates for glass, due to time-poor and often casual staff as well as space constraints for bins.

The Glass Packaging Forum has funding and grants available for New Zealand businesses and councils to find solutions for glass recovery. The funds can be used for new infrastructure, equipment or research and for solutions for glass recovery at events. Funding is granted to projects which result in an increase in container glass recovery, and/or which improve the quality of recovered glass.
