Thank you!
The online sustainability assessment has been developed to provide you with an assessment of how your business is doing against each of the 14 commitments, and to assist you in making an action plan.
Once you have your prioritised Action Plan from the assessment, you can download and use this Word template (downloadable Word document) to format your plan of the actions you aim to do now, in the next year, and longer term.
The assessment is available free to any business that has signed up to the New Zealand Tourism Sustainability Commitment (TSC). You will need the secret word to access the tool. If you haven't yet signed up to the TSC, you can do so here. It's free to sign up and will only take you a minute. Once you've signed up you'll be sent the secret word.
If you have signed up but don't know the secret word, please email us.
We’d love to hear your feedback – please email us with any comments or questions.
Click here for instructions on how to use the assessment. It's pretty easy to use but there are a few pointers in the document that may be useful. The document is a pdf, it will open in a new window. We suggest you keep the instructions open while you're doing the assessment. See if you can avoid printing it out.
To avoid confusion, only one business person from each business signed up to the TSC should fill in the assessment. Please check with your team and allocate one person from your business to take responsibility for the assessment.
None of your data or information will be made public. The assessment and the resulting Action Plan are for your use.
Nobody else will be able to see whether or not you have completed the assessment, and nobody else will be able to view your responses or Action Plan.
Your Action Plan will be available for you to access at any time. You can go back into the Plan and tick off the things you have done.
Once a large group of businesses have completed the assessment, benchmarking data will be available by industry sector, region and business size. This will be useful for users to see how they're doing against comparable businesses. All the information will be anonymous.
You are welcome to share your Action Plan with whoever you like - there is an option to send it by email.
